Services

Fjords Community CIC

At Fjords Community CIC, we offer a range of services designed to help communities, schools, and organisations reconnect with nature, develop practical skills, and create more inclusive environments.

As a neurodiversity-led organisation with a team that has lived experience across a wide range of challenges, we bring both professional insight and personal understanding to the work we do.

Our services are designed to support organisations that want to create meaningful opportunities for learning, wellbeing, and community connection.

Community Growing Space Consultancy

We provide consultancy for organisations looking to develop outdoor growing spaces.

Whether you are a school, nursery, community group, church, or local organisation, we can visit your site and help you explore how unused outdoor areas can be transformed into productive and engaging growing spaces.

Our support can include:

Assessing the potential of your outdoor space

Advice on designing a community or school growing area

Guidance on practical setup and sustainability

Support with engaging volunteers and participants

We aim to help create spaces that are practical, accessible, and beneficial for the people who will use them.

Nature and Wellbeing Talks

We deliver talks and workshops about the powerful connection between nature, wellbeing, and community.

These sessions explore how time spent outdoors and working with nature can support mental health, emotional well-being, and personal development.

Our talks are particularly valuable for schools, youth groups, community organisations, and wellbeing programmes.

Topics can include:

The well-being benefits of nature

Growing food and understanding where it comes from

Encouraging healthier lifestyles through outdoor activity

Building stronger communities through shared projects

Lived Experience Speaking

Our team brings lived experience in a range of areas, including:

Neurodiversity (including ADHD and autism)

Depression and mental health challenges

Homelessness

Care-experienced backgrounds

Because these experiences are part of our real lives, we are able to speak openly and honestly about the challenges people face and the ways communities can better support one another.

These talks are designed to raise awareness, encourage understanding, and inspire positive change.

Hatching Programmes

We offer educational egg hatching programmes using quail or chicken eggs, which are particularly popular with schools and learning groups.

These programmes allow children and young people to experience the fascinating process of hatching and early animal care.

After the programme is complete, the birds will return to become part of the Fjords flock, where they will continue to be cared for as part of our ongoing educational and community projects.

These programmes help young people learn about responsibility, animal care, and the origins of food.

Natural Products

We also produce a range of natural handmade soaps, created with care and inspired by the values of sustainability and wellbeing.

These products support the work of Fjords Community CIC and help generate income that can be reinvested into community projects.

Collaboration and Partnerships

We strongly believe that meaningful change happens through collaboration.

Fjords Community CIC works alongside schools, nurseries, community groups, local organisations, and businesses to deliver projects that reconnect people with nature and encourage healthier, more sustainable lifestyles.

If you are interested in working together on a project or initiative, we would love to hear from you.
